When I was a little girl it was routine, mostly every night, for my sister and I to gather into bed with my mom and she would read bedtime stories. The book was large, blue, and filled with stories! I remember being so inspired and filled with imaginative imagery.
I had another idea for routine, but while researching for that one I came across an image of a mother reading to her daughter. I so enjoyed working on this piece because I was able to relive the moments spent in my mother's arms with my sister and our teddy bears for a few hours.
