I've been drawing fairies, mermaids, and in recent years, angels, for 20+ years. Although I will probably always create them, they will not be my focus.
I continue to study my art and it's purpose. Why was I given this gift anyways?! It's not like I can go out and hand it to someone at a food pantry, I can't hand it to someone as clothes, I can't save animals through it, I can't change the laws of prostitution and sex-trafficking with my art.....
Or can I?

I am a princess, so are all of the women of this world.
I hope this year I can share the light and beauty of our soul when it is seen by our King. I thank God that He has given me this gift so that when I draw it, He is telling me "I love you".
PS: This also includes the Warrior Princess in us. More on that later. ;)

Beautiful illustration. Sara, you give so many people encouragement through your art. But, I admit it, I've often asked some of the same questions.

Sara, you seem to struggle with the very same things I do. What is the purpose of my talent? I am encouraged not only that I am not alone in the way I feel, but how you are taking hold of what you know about who you are - a daughter of the King - and have determined to reflect that into the world. I want so much to do the same... have a sense of purpose, God's purpose and than pursue it with my whole heart. Love love love you blog! Laura, you'll find the purpose...all we can do is ask right? I pray and hope you find your sense of purpose and are led on the path of performing it with His light. It's a long road for some, and a short one for others. Long road for me, but praising His name all the way!
