SBI Website Revealed

A big project that's been underway since December, my website.

I have many goals for what it can provide my customers and potential clients, yet until all those goals are met, there are a few that have been reached and I feel the site is ready to be revealed.

What Does My Site Offer Now

Goals For the Site

• List all of my original artwork for sale, paintings and drawings
• Move prints from Etsy to personal site
• Offer more licensed gifts such as figurines, mugs, puzzles, etc.

Send a postcard. I have several postcards featuring paintings showing hearts, love, and the famous color red. Each card is only $1.25! Buy in bulk and send loving thoughts. Great framed once received too. Not only do they get your sweetest words, but they get a piece of art to hang as well.

Wear your love. Support your heart by wearing it on your sleeve for one day. A few images to choose from for the day of love that you can place on any shirt of your desire. Now men, I haven't forgotten about you, but assumed you wouldn't want to wear a cute fairy bear with hearts. I have also designed heart ties in two colors for men bold enough to sport them. Great for an evening out! These shirts are great also for breast cancer awareness, every day, and children.

Icky Cobwebs!

I look at my planner, and get a lump in my throat. "So much to do! So little time!" my brain says. It's true, that saying, but it doesn't have to be a damper. I'm struggling to get past the ho hum stage of my to do list. I think once I finally have the schedule working and down I'll feel better. As you view the updates (that is, if you go to the site) you might notice my signature has changed. I am referred to as Sara.B. I think in time everything will be switched to that instead of Sara Butcher. It's complicated when you get married and you make a living from your name. Sara.B is a nice in between, a compromise that people might still be able to recognize. I suppose we'll see. :)

For the past two days I've been dusting off the cobwebs in my site. Refreshed the look (as I always do) and made a mental list of things I need to work on with it. Updated the "What's New" and the "Shoppe". The look has basically a new background image and sidebar image. Other than that, same layout. Ditto with the Shoppe. Same look and template, just more items added. Today is not a website day, although I did upload it this morning and update the "What's New". But I have made it Mondays to be the day I update my site and online galleries. Today is Tuesday. Time to draw.

Site Update

Finally I got my website updated today. It's been over a month since I've done it last. Wedding planning, work, and commission projects have become so overwhelming that I feel like I'm just staring out the window. So to jump start myself I got my work hat on and uploaded the changes. Next stop, my newsletter. Poor thing...

Added paintings to my portfolios: Whimsical, Elegant, Fantasy
Added sketches to my Sketching Board
Updated my shoppe (pictured to the right)

Local News

Finally! I gathered the courage to step outside of my wee box and step into the real world! With encouragement of close friends and the motive from God, I went into a local shop and even contacted a local newspaper. So here's what has happened so far...

I have been an artist showcased at the Gortz Haus Gallery for over a year now. On this November 30th I will be featured along with three other artists in an artists' reception. Gortz Haus is located in Grimes, Iowa. The event will be held from 4pm till 8pm with light refreshments. One of the subject matters you can be certain to see are angels.

If you shop locally or living locally, you can now find my work at David's Briar Shoppe in Merle Hay Mall. David's Briar Shoppe is one of the top fairy gift shops in central Iowa and the largest distributer of Munro Gifts in the central Midwest. It's a shop I grew up around, always going in and dream gazing at their fairies, dragons, and pretty specialty items. Now, a dream come true, my work is a part of the shop I so high adore. Unfortunately they do not have a website right now, but hopefully in the future they will.

Not only am I in one of my favorite shops, but on December 15th and December 22nd I will be stationed infront of their store painting and selling small framed originals. How cool is that!
